Cases lodged against killing of Additional SHO

Sindh News  Four cases have been lodged on Friday night against killing of Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Raheem Khan who was martyred in gunfight with dacoits in Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi, earlier on the same day. Police sources informed that, three cases have been registered in Gulistan-e-Johar Police Station and one case has been filed in Ferozabad Police Station. The cases include: provisions of anti-terrorism act, murder, attempted murder and police encounter.  A day earlier, Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Raheem Khan has embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with dacoits in Gulistan-e-Johar, area of Karachi.  SSP East said, the firing incident happened when some unknown armed assailants opened fire at cops and managed to escape from the scene, as a result, the additional SHO Rahim Khan martyred.  Read more: Cases lodged against killing of Additional SHO

Valuables reduce to ashes as fire engulfs Karachi furniture factory

Sindh News Fire erupted at a furniture factory in Karachi on Thursday night.According to details, a fire broke out at a furniture factory located in Liaquatabad, area of Karachi which spread rapidly and engulfed the entire factory.  Fire brigade and rescue teams reached the spot to douse the blaze and brought the fire under control after hectic efforts of several hours.  Rescue sources said that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.No fatality was reported in the incident, however, timber, furniture and other valuables worth million of rupees were reduced to ashes. Earlier, on September 1, two separate fire incidents occurred in Karachi on late Monday night in which a yarn godown and a textile mill were gutted.  According to details, the first incident took place in Gulbai, area of Karachi where a fire erupted in yarn warehouse. KPT underpass in Clifton temporarily closed for traffic

Sindhi News After the torrential rains lash the coastal city, the local authorities have temporarily closed the KPT Underpass in Clifton for all kind of traffic on Thursday. According to the traffic police official, keeping in view the safety of human lives, the underpass has been temporarily closed after reservations over its structure as heavy showers hit the port city.  Traffic police informed that the traffic has been diverted to alternative routes so the citizens should take these routes to avoid any disruption. Traffic police further said that they are seeking advice from technical experts. More monsoon rains in Sindh forecast

Sindh News More monsoon rains are expected in parts of Sindh today (Saturday) as weather forcasters predicted showers in the province from Friday to Monday. According to sources, the Irrigation Department has issued directions to Chief Engineer Guddu Braj, Kotri, Sukkur Braj, SIDA Hyderabad in view of forecast of more rains for Sindh. Heavy rains are continuing across the country including Sindh and Balochistan this year. After the prediction of more rains, the Irrigation Department wrote a letter to the concerned authorities and issued instructions to Chief Engineer Guddu Braj, Kotri, Sukkur Braj, SIDA Hyderabad. The Irrigation Department says heavy rains are expected from August 22 to 25. Security measures should be taken and the situation should be monitored continuously. Rains wreak havoc in Dadu district, flood more than 350 villages

Sindh News Torrential rains wreaked havoc in Dadu district, Sindh province as the current spell continued, triggering flash floods, and due to breaches in Nai Gaj Dam at several places, over 350 villages are flooded. According to details, more than 350 villages in Sindh's Dadu district have been affected by flash floods coming from the Kirthar mountains.  As per media reports, in Kachho area, several villages were inundated by floods in mountain streams and the mud houses totally destroyed. On the other hand, the power system was disrupted after the electricity pole collpased.  Similarly, the villages of Union Council Dargh Bala, Sauro, Chhni, Tando Rahim Khan and Wahi Pandhi are most affected areas. One dies, two hurt as car overturns in Karachi

Sindh News One person was dead and two others were critically injured when a car turned turtle near Nipa Chowrangi, area of Karachi on Thursday night. According to details, the incident occurred near Nipa Chowrangi, in Karachi where a speedy vehicle overturned. As a result, one person died on the spot and two others seriously wounded. After being informed, rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. The deceased was identified as Zain. 4 Dead, 30 Injured in Nawabshah Road Accident

Sindh News At least four people have been dead and 30 others were injuried when a passenger bus turned turtle due to over-speeding in Nawabshah, here on Sunday. Accoridng to the details, an incident was took place Qazi Ahmed when ill-fated bus was travelling from Mansehra to Karachi when it overturned in Qazi Ahmed. According to Motorway police said that the accident was caused by speeding.  Upon being informed, the Motorway Police, Edhi rescue teams reached the scene and pulled the dead and the injured out of the overturned bus, shifting them to Qazi Ahmed Regional Health Center.  Nine people were in critical condition and transferred to District Hospital Nawabshah.
